The Balfour Dinner

It is not surprising that Britain appears within IBCA’s name. Britain – through its Balfour Declaration of November 1917 – committed to establish in Palestine a national home for the Jewish people.

In appreciation of this historic decision IBCA has held an annual Balfour Dinner where the Declaration is celebrated with two special guest speakers one from the United Kingdom and one from Israel. Over the years our guests have included William Hague, Boris Johnson, Lord Rothschild and the Earl of Balfour amongst many other notable individuals from the UK. From Israel our guests have included Isaac Herzog (currently Israel’s President) Yair Lapid, Natan Sharansky and Yuli Edelstein.

IBCA’s last celebratory dinner was held in November 2018 prior to the onset of COVID19.
